BSI receives Spanish industry award for excellence in best practice risk management

BSI Iberia has gained recognition for its contribution to work in the areas of information security and business continuity

The SIC Computer and Communications Security award is given in recognition to outstanding initiatives, organizations and professionals who demonstrate best practice in the field of risk management. This year it was presented to BSI Iberia on 25 April 2012 for "the critical role BSI has played and continues to play in providing global standards solutions and recognized expertise in the disciplines of risk management, information security management and business continuity".

Marcio Viegas, BSI Group Iberia Managing Director, who collected the trophy on behalf of the BSI team said: "We are truly honoured to receive this prestigious award. BSI is proud to be recognised for helping businesses adopt and implement best practice in the areas of information security and business continuity management and we wish to thank our customers and SIC for helping us tangibly demonstrate this”.
